That’s right!
We are looking for anthropologists, and other social scientists, either aspiring or experienced, to write for The Geek Anthropologist! From comprehensive pieces to book reviews, there are several types of contributions you can submit to our editorial team. For more information about the types of pieces we publish, head to the Contribute page.
Not interested in writing for the blog? You do too much of that already at work or for your studies? Fear not! There are other ways to contribute to TGA:
- Research Assistants: We need research assistants to help us build our bibliography or help out with our research projects, such as the Geek Girl Survey!
- Community Manager: If you spend all day on social media, you could be the person we are looking for: become a TGA community manager and help us keep our Twitter, Tumblr, Facebook and Google+ followers informed and happy.
- Reviewer: A fascinating article is great, but a fascinating AND clear article without spelling mistakes is even better! Acting as a TGA reviewer is a perfect way to gain experience in editing.
- Resident Artist/Graphic Designer: We really can’t draw so well, and we are in constant need of illustrations and photos. Put your talents to good use and gain visibility by showcasing your work on TGA!
Learn more about becoming a valued member of our team on the Join Our Team! page.
Do you think you can contribute to TGA in other ways? Feel free to write to us at thegeekanthropologist(at)gmail.com.
Contributing to TGA is a great way to gain experience in regards to skills which are essential in research: writing, editing and reviewing pieces, engaging potential audiences for anthropological work, using digital tools, managing questionnaires, etc.
Don’t miss out on such an opportunity, whatever your level of experience!
